The Christchurch Ropes Course can be used in a variety of different ways to meet the requirements of your school;
- As a venue for team building, leadership, or communication programmes
- As a means for assessing a wide range of Achievement Standards and Unit Standards
- As a fun experience to begin or end the school year
From a few hours to a few days each programme will be designed to meet the needs of each individual school
Ministry of Education LEOTC Programmes
With support from the Ministry of Education two 'Learning Experiences Outside The Classroom' programmes are avaliable at the Christchurch Ropes Course
Based at curriculum levels 4 and 6 these programmes have been designed to work within and compliments your schools delivery of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum, while also aiding the delivery of the New Zealans Curriculum's Key Competencies.
Both Programmes include a range of high and low ropes course activities and are facilitated by staff from Horizons Unlimited. Thanks to funding through the Ministry of Education's LEOTC funding scheme both programmes are $10.00 per student inc GST.
Risk Management
The Christchurch Ropes Course has an excellent safety record. RAMS forms will be sent to your school as part of your programme confirmation pack. You are welcome to view our safety management plan or come out for a pre programme site visit at any time.
